Meditation 46
After the leaves die
But before the first snow fall
The end of the year
When night creeps in quick
A time of celebration
And also mourning
The ones we have lost
Absent around the table
Painful reminders
The silver linings
They are sudden and fleeting
But they do exist
Think of the sunrise
And the sound of the ocean
On a cold morning
Then there is the spring
A time of rebirth and growth
For more than flowers
Life has its merits
Though they require some fighting
Never forget that
