Let me tell you of
A place of contradiction
The old melting pot
The modern wild west
As dangerous as it is
Stunningly gorgeous
A confusing land
One of violence and loss
And pristine vistas
A dying empire
Which lived without one regret
It has earned its fate
A project that failed
Its citizens and mission
Time and time again
Who is in charge here
Children playing with conch shells
And all our lives too
Welcome to my home
This American playground
Where anything goes
