Meditation 43

Where have the birds gone

A young boy asks his father

On a winter day

They have migrated

Off to warmer horizons

The father answers

But will they come back

The boy begins to cry now

For he misses them

Some will return Son

The father reassures him

Some stay forever

The boy wipes his tears

What about mother he says

Sadly sniffling

She is gone for good

The father breaks down now too

He knows it was him
