Meditation 42

An immense divide

As vast as the Pacific

Deep as it is wide

You wear a mask now

We have become two strangers

As we were before

Painful in essence

To lose someone while they live

To mourn their presence

And then time moves on

You find a new hobby or

Learn a new language

The hole never fills

But it can appear fuller

With time and some work
